Early 1900’s Round Cast Iron Bus Stop Sign from Virginia Peninsula Transit Corp

We recently acquired this fantastic cast iron bus stop sign from here in Virginia. It is from the early 1900’s and is pole mounted on a 3″ round steel pole. The raised lettering at the top half of the circle says “Bus Stop” and the lower round half edge says “Peninsula Transit Corp”. Inside the circle at the top center has the word “Zone” with a raised square box directly below & “Buses For and Points Between”. The opposite side is exactly the same and is pictured. Condition: Excellent and free from cracks/breaks & chips.
