The issue bears a stamped archival date of April 19, 1929. The central photographic illustration depicts a Cyclone Washer being used on a Guy bus at Oldham Corporation Depot, providing a vivid period image of municipal vehicle maintenance.
On 1st April 1981 Lancashire United Transport was wound up and integrated into the GMT fleet. The original work has long been outof print; so also has Keith Stretch’s work on the SLT trams and trolleybuses.
