Lot Consists of a Vintage Original, 1960’s Bus Driver’s – Metal Belt Buckle With An Applied – Enameled – City Bus and Union Logo. The Logo Reads: “AMAL – ASSN. OF ST. ELECTRIC RY & MOTOR C. EMPLOYEES OF A.” “A.F.OF.L.”.. Buckle Also Has Initials of Previous Owner – “M. K.” Affixed To It. Buckle Comes As Pictured, Be Sure To View All Pics For More Details on Condition. Chromed metal buckle is approx. 2″ wide x 1-5/16″ high and has “Hook-Fast” – “Reg. U.S. Pat. Off” stamped in belt loop on rear. There is a spot of oxidation to the plating on the rear. There does not appear to be any apparent visible cracks or breaks in buckle. The enameled emblems are tightly affixed and appear to be complete.It has not been cleaned or adjusted in any way, left up to new owner to decide to do…. or not…… Sold As-Is, with all faults, both visible and hidden, if any. When the old Birmingham, Alabama greyhound bus station that opened in 1950 was first closed, I was lucky enough to get the actual backlit greyhound sign that was a Birmingham icon for decades. It would’ve been the one Chuck Berry saw in the greyhound bus broke down in Birmingham!
