YOUR SOURCE FOR TRANSPORTATION RELATED MEMORABILIA! (Public transit, emergency vehicle, railroad, license plates, signs, traffic lights) Up for sale is an AUTHENTIC set of rollsign or destination sign route number scrolls from OC Transpo (formerly known as the Ottawa Transportation Commission) of Ottawa, Ontario. This is a set of two number scrolls from the front of any newer bus that had the automatic rollsign system. (The third sign in the set is the destination sign, not included.) That sign system featured barcodes printed on the rollsign unique to each exposure, a barcode reader in the sign box, and a console in the driver’s compartment. When the driver keyed in a certain code, the rollsigns would automatically roll until the corresponding barcode was detected by the sensor reader, it would then scroll back and forth a couple of times, centering the exposure in the destination window. With this listing you are JUST getting the two route number rollsigns. No other equipment is included. These rollsign scrolls are used but in excellent condition! The only issue is there appears to have been a printing issue on the #37 exposure on the two number scroll, that was corrected by Multilite. The sign came this way. One of the original bars for each sign is included! Each scroll has the sign tag shown in the second photo at its end. You are getting two scrolls with this purchase, one single digit scroll and one double digit scroll, which make up a full set of numbers. The rollsign colour was printed directly on mylar (plastic). The single digit sign measures approximately 200 13/16 inches long by 5 13/16 inches wide. The 16 exposures printed on the scroll are “123456789X_ABCDE”. The double digit number measures 12 inches wide, and approximately 925 1/4 inches long! That’s over 77 FEET long! The 113 exposures printed on the scroll are a blank, every number from 00 to 99, then 0123456789X, and then another blank. This genuine destination sign number set would be perfect for displaying on a wall, to replace damaged rollsigns on your vehicle, or just to add to your own rollsign collection! The further away from the use of rollsigns OC Transpo gets, the more rare these signs will become! DON’T MISS OUT ON THIS INCREDIBLE PIECE OF TRANSIT HISTORY! Combined shipping with other items may be possible. Please inquire BEFORE purchasing. Payment is by PayPal only within 24 hours of the time of purchase. Shipping is to the address registered with eBay. THANK YOU FOR LOOKING and CHECK OUT MY OTHER LISTINGS!
